Mystery House is an adventure game released in 1980 by Roberta and Ken Williams for the Apple II. The game is remembered as one of the first adventure games to feature computer graphics and the first game produced by On-Line Systems, the company which would evolve into Sierra On-Line. The game starts near an abandoned Victorian mansion. The player is soon locked inside the house with no other option than to explore. It's always nice to see a new game of Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw as this guy is a true master of atmosphere. In "Trilby: The Art of Theft" you'll meet once more with Trilby, one of the main caracters of the "John DeFoe" -series. But what is the game about? "1991. Two years before the events of 5 Days A Stranger. The eccentric British cat burglar Trilby is at large in an American city, robbing the rich to give to himself. Distrustful of his fellow man and patiently...

Once again we find Trilby (real name unknown) in a situation which cannot be fully explained without trying the game. If you have played the other games with Trilby you know what I am talking about: 5 Days a Stranger, 7 Days a Skeptic, and after Trilby's Notes, 6 Days a Sacrifice. Yahtzee has also done other games, so it is indeed worth keeping an eye on him. The interface in Trilby's Notes is different from the first two adventures before this. They were point and clicks but this one is in the...
